  • Short narrative submissions for this category focus on the use of web-based course tools for various kinds of distance learning, including courses that meet face-to-face on an intermittent or regular schedule, and courses that meet only online. Narratives include discussions of more well-known course tools software packages, such as WebCT or Blackboard, open source software, such as Moodle, and even social networking software such as Facebook and Itunes.

  • The short narratives in this category discuss authoring tools used for digital scholarly projects. The current narratives in the category primarily discuss the use of wikis as tools for scholarly productions, but we are also interested in narratives, research, and personal perspectives about how different types of multimedia-authoring software affect the processes of producing scholarly work.
