This webtext focuses on the use of wiki as a tool for writing and for teaching writing. The authors argue that the nature of the dynamic open-source wiki system is preferable to closed-source systems and allows writers to be more actively involved in the act of producing and distributing writing. The authors also discuss the use of wiki as a collaborative writing tool and how it creates an environment that makes it easier and more comfortable for writers to collaborate.
